Warhammer 40k Inspired Bolter Pistol by JohnsonArms Warhammer 40k Inspired Bolter Pistol by JohnsonArms
This started out as a Supersoaker pistol, but I could see the shape of a bolter pistol hiding in there. There's quite a bit of customization and countless hours of paint, but I hope you die-hard WH40K fans will see the care taken to make a kid's toy a piece of art :)

This was a commissioned piece so I'm sorry it's not available for sale. If you want one of your own, just let me know :)

Good luck!

I'd be very happy to have one, though I'd spend too much time staring at it and blessing it more then I fire it.

Damn fine work!
Immediatly recognizable, believable in proportions and looking mean enough to really come from a time where "there is only war".

This is my chainsword and this is my gun. This one's for purifying the galaxy in the name of the Warmaster and the Imperial Truth... And this one's for fun.

Sorry, had to make it non-fuctional. I added parts inside the gun to look like it actually functioned..odd, deactivated to make it look like it functions :)

Very nice indeed, but it looks more GoW inspired than WH40k. Yeah, call me a 'purist' :D

Also, there`s no aquila!

Haha, I know, I know...but please understand that I work with the body to make it look "like" whatever the subject is. If I was going for a perfect 1:1 replica I'd just use board and foam to make them :) I'm glad you still like the look!

no Aquila logo...shame on You :P But yes, its mechanic size and overall build is very close to original designs, more to say IMO - its even more handle for a non-power-armoured-civilian

I have them for the gun, I just didn't think it was a good idea to use GW's logos for a photo that might end up all over the interwebz. ;)

He did an awesome job didnt he? I tried not to copy, but they are the same base gun so it's hard to not end up similar, I 'spose.

I'll take that compliment all day long, hehe.

Haha, just by chance, I'm sure ;) There's a few others I'd like to try as well and many people have used the recon body to make some really cool stuff. I am at heart a painter, so I'll keep working on my fabrication and customizing skills and just make sure I always paint the hell out of 'em lol
