Just a quick fitting test for Vera #2, made from custom parts and a nerf gun :)

The Scope was just a stand in, I promise to try to make the final version look more accurate.

Hope you like how it's looking so far and yes it still shoots foam darts lol

Closer than the last one, for sure. That new clip is literally perfect, kudos on that. And the front looks great. Still not sure why you're going with upside-down Recon Stock for this, though. You can't put that much work into a perfect clip replica and find an awesome barrel and even promise an accurate scope and then say "Pffft, stock? FLIP IT GOOD!". Three words: Erector Set Pieces.

Haha, I agree completely. I took on this commission at a set price and proceeded to overspend on the time/materials for the mag and barrel. I want it as accurate as possible, but not at 5.00/hr by the time I get through with it. The time it'll take me to put the stock together will almost make the gun a break-even. I will check out the erector set parts and maybe that'll be the answer I was needing, great idea :)

Ah, gotcha. Well, if you're gonna do it, do it right... unfortunate that it's a commission with a set price, though. Can't really work around that.

I like it, I'm not sure about the upside down stock though. It would make it impossible to use the scope.

Originally, this was to be a pretty basic "nerf-part only" prop. I used the flipped stock on the first vera that was also made with nerf parts. This got a bit out of hand in my quest to make it as "close" as possible while still saving a ton of time by using the recon body. Maybe I'll get a commissioner with a giant wallet some day and then we can build an insanely accurate Vera! hehe
