This was just a project update photo, but I liked the angle a lot and that white void in the upper left made me decide to work at making this a possible Poster. The final shot would not have all the clutter, obviously. :) Comments?

Oooh, very nice! I'm surprised there aren't that many steampunk barrel breaks. It's always mavericks for some reason :/
I'm planning on painting/adding things to mine to make some sort of art-deco piece. Any suggestions to make sure it still functions? (painting moving parts, etc.)

Just be aware that the parts that slide against each other rub the paint off pretty quick. I'd suggest trying to use vinyl dye for the bits, but the stuff is messy so do a bit of reading on it before you possibly muss up a nice barrel break! ;) Hope to see it when you're done!

Very kind of ya and welcome to dA! I sanded the body down and then did the base coats depending on what was to be painted on top. Mostly black and then I drybrush and was on the additional metallic detail and such. I use varying colors of brown for the wood and leather grips. I did this a bit ago so I've worked on improving things that I thought I could have done better on this one. None the less, I really liked it as well and appreciate your comment!
