Nerf Vigilon WIP Photo by JohnsonArms Nerf Vigilon WIP Photo by JohnsonArms
Ok, so I don't normally post unfinished stuff on here because I can put that stuff on the blog and elsewhere :) I wanted to post this one just because I'm really stoked about getting to work on it a little earlier than Nerf probably intended. I'll definitely be posting the final version when it's done. If you want to follow the build, have a look on my website, thank you!

**This is the second photo of the gun (just so nobody thinks they're crazy, heh) with some paint on it, I thought it looked better than the stock orange version!**

Yeh, will ordinary spray paint do? I've followed youtube instructions and removed the safety features but there aren't any good paint tuts. :((. I reckon I'll just take it apart and give each section a bit of a spray then reassemble. Cheers.

There are really good tutorials on there, sorry I don't know the titles to give ya. I think your plan of attack is good and you'll learn a lot just by doing. I didn't do much research myself, but that was because I wanted to have a style more of my own than a replica of others. That replica masters series I see often look fantastic, but in my eyes they appear to be a bit cookie-cutter. I always change things up a bit so everyone gets a gun or prop that is hopefully unique and yet still faithful to the source.

All the best and I will expect to see some photos when the time is right to share them :)

Thanks for the tips. Very kind of you to say so. Yes, I understand, the whole black on black does look generic and somewhat mediocre. The finish on your piece is impresssive. Ha, yes, it will be some time before I get to do that but when I do paint it, photos will be uploaded! Cheers.
