Mass Effect 3 Themed Nerf Elite Rayven by JohnsonArms Mass Effect 3 Themed Nerf Elite Rayven by JohnsonArms
Here's a Rayven utilizing one of the Johnson Arms custom magazines as well as the suppressor from a nerf spectre. I thought about putting a scope on it, but I kinda liked the low profile without one :) I hope you guys like it!

Thanks!  I felt it needed to look a little oxidized and it definitely gave the part some character :)

Looking stellar as always sir! I love the suppressor from the Spectre, I wish I could pick up a few separate to use in special projects like my Patriot Act more often cause it really sells the barrel. Admittedly as a gamer, I've never played mass effect, but I've seen many props so it has to be a popular cosplay, and this unit has certainly seen action. Keep up the awesome detailing :)

I agree, nerf really loses a lot of business by not offering the accessory parts.  I know they have a few sets with the add-ons, but they're usually the parts that I don't care about :)   As to why they don't offer the pinpoint sight anymore, I have no idea, but it's insane.  I'd buy them by the case!  hehe

Thanks as always and keep up the good work as well!

I guess we are not a large enough market to make it worth it for them :(

It's and MDF/laminate shell that we attach to the bottom of a standard 6rd nerf mag.

Great work as always! Interesting rust effect on the mag... or is it worn off paint?

Thank you! :)   That's actually paint that was added to give a bit of an oxidized look to the mag.   I like my props to look like they've seen some hell, hehe

I've debated myself for the longest time of whether to go for the 'new' look or weathered/battered look for my guns but jury's still out [well, especially with uber artists like yourself, Billy2917, Meandmunch, AUgamergirl, Faustus70, NumptyMcPillock and DirectThreat who do it soooooo bloody good]. I usually leave it to the customer to decide, otherwise I'll go round in circles! LOL

Best to let them dictate if they're paying for the work, thats for sure :)  I've just found that pristine condition doesn't give much of a challenge to me and I have to find something to push what I know or I'll get bored with it.  Being at the shop for 14-16 hours on most days can become a nightmare if I feel like I'm just running an assembly line ;)
