M41A Pulse Rifle Inspired Nerf Stampede 1/2 by JohnsonArms M41A Pulse Rifle Inspired Nerf Stampede 1/2 by JohnsonArms
Photo 1/2

Alternate photo: johnsonarms.deviantart.com/art…

Here's the end results of a collaboration with Christopher Glas Studios (Hypercats.net). I think it was a great job for a scratch-build and basically a prototype. I'mm probably fool with the paint some more, but this is basically 99% done :)

It still functions and has a shortened 18rd (now effectively 8-10 rds) mag.

The counter shows a static round count. I'm trying to find a smoke colored clear plastic to put over the counter because I think that makes the numbers show better in daylight

Thanks for checking it out and expect some more cool stuff to come.

Now that is a really work of art, my God, you've managed to do the impossible, you've made the Pulse Rifle 20% more cooler!

This puts my Airsoft Pulse Rifle Replica that I bought about a year a go to shame.

Thats the coolest Nerf conversion I've ever seen and I've seen my fair share of Mavericks drybrushed in copper paint.

Seriously FUKKEN AWESOME job. Justice done to one of my favorite sci-fi guns.

for the clear smoked plastic take the plastic and use the metal buffing wheel with a dremel and lightly grave over the plastic that should give you the effect you are looking for

a very good idea, thank you! What I ended up doing was taking apart an alarm clock that has a deep red face. I cut the piece down to fit the 2 digits and it ended up looking very nice. I will give your suggestion a try in the future :)

I don't know about you, but I like all the screws. There's so much other busy-ness going on with this gun that they don't stick out as "omg screws" everywhere.

They don't look bad in the placement, I just think hex screws would have looked more appropriate. Still looks good though!

Eh. It looked like the original used some kind of rounded pop rivets, so I went with screws because the shape was similar. [link]

They worked fine, I was just saying these [link] were what they used on the others. The smaller ones that look like rivets are just a small version of them
