Jayne's Pistol in Bronze by JohnsonArms Jayne's Pistol in Bronze by JohnsonArms
aaand it's done ;) I think the bronze and titanium came out looking pretty nice. I'm trying to decide what combo to go with next.

I will be selling this on either ebay or etsy in the next few days. If you're interested, let me know and I'll post a link to the store when it's up. Thanks!

Always thought that the LaMat pistol which Jane's pistol is based on was ugly. But then I read on it... that thick barrel was a 20 gage shotgun barrel.... and it offered 9 44.cal shots.... 9 glorious shots with a 10th hidden suprise.... now I think it's amazing

I'll kill a man in a fair fight... or if I think he's gonna start a fair fight.

Ya, there's another one here as well. It's newer and I did a more realistic look to it. My favorite part is probably the pistol grips, those were a lot of work for me ;)

Woot! There will be more as I find a good source for the resin casts! I'l love to do a really high-detail model, but they're more than I'm willing to spend with hopes that someone buys it quickly :)

how long did it take to make?

From getting the rough casted body to the final touches it took about a week to complete. I'm also usually working on 10+ guns a week so I rotate them out so they have plenty of time to dry out before I add additional layers of paint. A week though, is a good estimate from start to finish with about 5-6 hours total time invested.

No, its actually a replica from the movie, not sure of the maker. Of course as you mentioned (well done by the way!) the gun is a modified Lemat. Great looking gun :)

Premade I would live to know how that level of detail was made. It;s not easy to make a cap and ball revolver.

Ya, multiple steps, I'm sure. Some day I'll put the time into learning it. I want to make some custom guns myself at some point!
