Heavy Metal Finished 1 by JohnsonArms Heavy Metal Finished 1 by JohnsonArms
About time, amIright? lol

Sorry it's not the best photo, but now that the Longshot is finished, I really wanted to share a photo. I'll have more photos up soon showing more of the custom work (there is a ton of it!) on both sides.

Let me know what you you guys think and thank you all for following the process of bringing this to life :)

*Made from a Nerf Longshot (integrated front end by Ryan Myers) and countless fabricated and found parts. Plus more paint time than I care to calculate, haha. It's definitely a one-of-a-kind!

It looks like the Melter from Warhammer 40k, used by humans/Astartes.

How exactly does one prime that Longshot, cause from the looks of it the air tank is intruding on the normal place for that side of the prime bar.

The handle was replaced with wooden ones that are more flush. It doesn't get obstructed by the tank, but I don't advise that the gun be used because it has a 20lb spring that really stresses the internals. It does hit about 100ft though :)

*Nod* Pretty damn awesome, gotta say. The inclusion of the orange and red in the color design confuses me a little, but that's probably just interpretive of the genre you were going for and is of course still more than functional aesthetically. I love that light-up wire thingy, though, that looks fantastic and is perfectly integrated. And of course overall it's mindblowing. Other highlights: The guage in the stock, the grip leathering, the use of that keyhole next to the knob is a nice touch, rusted paint variants and gradients look flawless, the transformation of that spray-can... cept for that leather ring deal, looks a bit wrinkly from the pic. I only nitpick because overall I know damn well it'll be a tad while before I can do better. :p

Thanks LG, I hope the new photo shows the colors a bit better! I made some of the design decisions because I wanted to make a big gun that would work in a few different genres. Obviously steampunk jumps out immediately, but I also had the influences of Borderlands, Fallout..you know, wasteland kinda stuff. The orange you saw in the first photo is more of a reddish brown (if you mean the faux label on the tank) and the red was just because I thought it looked cool..hehe.

I'm really glad you like how it came out. This one was made without concern for time and I hope it represents what I can do to whatever project a buyer brings my way... :)

The new pic does look MUCH better in regards to the 'orange', it looks a bit less out of place now. It's gonna get the job done; I think you've well proven your versatility. ^_^
