HALO Style NERF Recon by JohnsonArms HALO Style NERF Recon by JohnsonArms
Just the weathering is left, but I wanted to show it in "clean" form...you'll see the front barrel is weathered though. This and clones will be available on request. Just PM me, thanks!

If you'd like to see this one weathered with a custom (non fuctioning) magazine, have a look here! [link]

Say if I were lookig for a long las, and a regular las rifle or carbine ?
Honestly these are with out question the FINEST IG replica weapons I have ever seen anywhere by anyone !!!!!!

Krylon up to this stage of things. Details are mainly done with testors model paints

Glad you like it! I do airsoft as well, but they don't make parts like this except for the kits and they're pretty expensive. I'll be sure to post those when I finish em as well

this is one sick gun... too bad id have to get the recon raider and the longstrike to make it =/ oh well, maybe sometime down the road i will

anywho, ive been looking at your paint jobs on all of your guns and i have to say its pretty boss! major props (esp on the scout!) anywho, how exactly do you do it? do you use spray paint/ air brush for the first layer then dry brush the weathering/ distressed look onto it?

Much appreicated! I actually use the airbrush sparingly right now so what you see is mainly rattle can basecoats with hand painted details and weathering. It's a bit more than that, but you sound like you know what you're doing and I assume that makes sense just as-is, haha.

I would check ebay, there's bound to be people selling off extra parts and I can see someone trying to sell a barrel part and I can't imagine it would go for an outrageous amount. Good luck in the search! :)

Did you know someone heavy modded this gun into an Assault Rifle?

I believe it! I stay more to the painting, but as I can, I'm still working on getting better with really clean body mods. I like to see them on guns, but quite often they're not very finished looking and that really takes away from all the hard work the person obviously put into it. I do understand getting to the point where you just say "welp, this thing is done" :)

Indeed. I know the feeling. I also do custom work ranging from action figures to full-scale props. Anyway, check out the gun I mentioned. Bear in mind I'm not the artist. [link]
Wait a second, now that I take a better look, it doesn't appear to be the same gun, but it's a similar model, and definitely Nerf.

That is really cool! So you painted the gun, but someone else fabricated the body? Those are the kinds of builds I'd love to get a chance to paint. I just don't have the experience or resources (I've been at this 11 months now) to make all the bit and pieces so working with someone who does those types of things would be cool.

I'll look forward to watching your stuff, man. All the best to ya and keep in touch
