Here's the third Arsenal brand kit I've done and not one have actually obtained from the company :) They're a reasonable cast considering the price I suppose. Let me know what you think and yes, I did leave out the black part of the gun. I think it's not as attractive, but I can add it if who ever wants it that way.

I also do Mal's gun, cast made by Wilco:

Thank you! If you know of anyone who might want one, let me know. They look even better, if I might be so bold. :) I'd be honored to have a real firefly fan own it

I watched Serenity just last night, so...perfect timing!

I enjoy trying to identify the real-world firearms that some sci-fi weapons are patterned after. Some aren't as overt as Blastech DL-44 / Broomhandle Mauser.

This one, I think, is a little harder. The Le Mat, maybe, inspired this weapon?

Correct! The large barrel under the main is the shotgun round :) My personal favorite is the M41a from aliens that uses a Thompson sub machine gun base!

It also has that distinct, curved grip and (if you count the percussion cap nipples) way more shots than a normal revolver (I believe the La Mat had 9 shots plus the shotgun barrel because of the shotgun barrel requiring a wider cylinder).

I think you're right on the money with that. It's a really cool gun, I also have a metal Denix version of the Lemat and it's a hefty gun, even made out of potmetal/steel :)

Not being a gun expert, I still believe you're correct. I do research on the guns when I can, but mostly to see how they age and that helps me decide how to age/weather the gun in a lot of cases. It's always nice to have the input of people with more knowledge than I do, it's the best way I've found to learn more about them :) Thanks for that
