There's actually 5 pieces hiding in there, haha.  It's a Makerbot 2x that prints these particular models.  Done in ABS plastic which sands easier and can also be vapor melted

Not with how fast they get improved each year.  It's far more cost-effective to work with someone who already has one and also knows how to really use it well.  They can be tricky when it comes to the more complex designs

Yeah with how they improve and get cheaper it's easier to work with other people, eventually I'll get myself one though I want to be able to do my own parts.
